Include dairy or dairy alternatives (such as soya) to meet your calcium requirement. Usually men should consume 800 mg of calcium per day, while women should consume 1000 mg. The Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDA) for calcium in pregnancy and lactation is 1200 mg per day.
